A New Year cake is the easiest way to make the countdown feel like a celebration, whether you are at home with family or at a house party with friends. Here are the designs we bake most for 31 December, and how to make sure yours arrives on time.
Countdown clock cakes
The New Year classic. A chocolate cake with a clock face, the hands just about to meet at twelve and the new year in gold. We put the coming year on it.
Party cakes for a crowd
For house parties, a tall drip cake or a black and gold tiered cake looks great under party lights. Our two tier black and gold cake with a column of gold balls is a showstopper. See our tiered cakes.

Fresh and fruity
After a big dinner, a lighter cake goes down better. A strawberry or fresh fruit cake with cream is a nice choice. See our fruit cakes.
Photo cakes for the year gone by
Print a favourite photo from the year on a cake, with “Happy New Year” across it. It is a fun way to look back. See our photo cakes.

- Choose midnight delivery on the product page. It arrives between 11:00 and 11:30 PM.
- Give a phone number that will be answered, even with music on.
- If you are at a party venue, add the venue name and a landmark.
New Year cake ideas for different parties
Family dinner at home: a 1 kg or 1.5 kg clock cake or a fruit cake is enough for the family and looks festive on the table.
House party with friends: a 2 kg or 3 kg drip cake or a black and gold cake. Our cake size guide will help you get the size right.
Office party on the last working day: a square cake with “Happy New Year” and the company name, easy to cut for a team.
Couple’s countdown: a small red velvet heart or a photo cake with your favourite picture of the year.
New Year cake questions
How early should I book for 31 December? At least two to three days before. Midnight slots on New Year’s Eve fill first.
Can you deliver to a party venue or farmhouse? Yes, within Delhi NCR. Add the venue name, a landmark and a contact number at the venue.
Will the year on the cake be correct? Yes. We always put the coming year on clock and number cakes.
Do you deliver on 1 January? Yes. Pick a morning or afternoon slot for a New Year’s Day lunch.
Make the countdown special
Bring the cake out at 11:58 with the lights low and the candles lit, so the first slice is cut right at midnight. Keep a few sparkle candles ready from our add-ons for the photos. If you have children who cannot stay up, cut a small cake earlier in the evening with them and save the big one for midnight. And keep a knife, plates and napkins next to the cake before the countdown starts, because nobody wants to search the kitchen at 12:01. Finally, take a group photo with the cake before it is cut. It will be the first photo of the new year, so make it a good one.
